Rumours continue to circulate that both Inter and Milan have expressed their interest in Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic. With the Rossoneri signing Fluminense’s Thiago Silva during the week however, they have dropped their interest in the Blues defender, which has consequently made life much easier for the Nerazzurri.
With this in mind, the reigning Italian champions have decided to take their interest in Ivanovic to the next level, and according to Novantesimo.it, the club are set to meet with the player and his agent in London this week to discuss a possible transfer.
Ivanovic’s agent Vlado Borozan has stated that, “there is strong interest shown by Inter, and on Wednesday we are going to talk with Chelsea, before speaking with Inter later in the week,” according to Novantesimo.it.
“At the moment, I’m not sure what Chelsea would like to do, however I don’t see many possible solutions,” he added.
Ivanovic has quickly become a regular fixture at the back under new coach, Luiz Felipe Scolari but if these early reports are anything to go by, then a move to Italy for the Serbian defender is a real possibility.
