Mirko Vucinic and Alexandre Pato bagged a brace apiece at the Stadio Olimpico as AS Roma and AC Milan shared the spoils in a thrilling affair.

The Romans were leading 1-0 at half-time, but 'the Duck' struck twice to give the Rossoneri a 2-1 lead just eight minutes into the second period.

“We were indeed a little sluggish at the beginning of the second half,” Daniele De Rossi told Romanews.eu, “but you have to give credit to Milan, as they are a great side and their champions can seriously wreak havoc.

“Pato is amazing and, along with [Mauro] Zarate, they are the young players who have impressed me the most.”

After Vucinic opened the scoring on 22 minutes, Luciano Spalletti’s side had a number of chances to double their lead but the Montenegrin striker was too profligate on the counter.

“Perhaps we could have done better on the counterattacks during the first half,” sighed the midfielder, “but I feel the score-line was fair after such an exciting match.

“I reckon that we can reach the fourth place; we have to try and find the qualities to do it. We cannot always perform miracles like last season: we are a good outfit, but you truly need miracles to finish the season in front of Inter.”
