Former Roma goalkeeper Franco Tancredi believes the Giallorossi have what it takes to win the Champions League this season.
Tancredi, who is currently the England goalkeeping coach, played for Roma all his career and was in goal for the 1984 European Cup final which they lost to Liverpool.
The Giallorossi have failed time and again in Europe, but there is real belief that they can go all the way this season.
As well as this, Roma will have home advantage with the final taking place at the Stadio Olimpico.
"I think Roma have the qualities to win it," Tancredi told Il Romanista.
"The Champions League is different to Serie A and it's important to be injury free and arrive there in top form.
"Roma have every chance of playing for it and it would be nice. Hopefully the game won't end like it did to me if they get to the final."
Luciano Spalletti's men clash with Arsenal in February for a place in the quarter finals.
However, the legendary Francesco Totti is unlikely to play following a serious injury to his hamstring.
