Le Mans goalkeeper Yohann Pele will not be moving to Roma during the January sales, but a Premier League switch could be on the cards according to FIFA agent Fabrizio Ferrari.
Luciano Spalletti is currently looking for a shot-stopper as back-up to Alexandre Doni.
Artur is currently the second choice at the Giallorossi, but he is not seen as someone with enough experience to be an alternative to the Brazilian.
The hunt for a decent 'keeper is therefore on at Trigoria. However, it's unlikely to be Pele as Ferrari rules out an Italian move.
"Le Mans are likely to sell him in January," the agent told Teleradiostereo.
"Pele's contract expires in June and the French side want to make something by selling him.
"There are many teams interested in him, but I have never been in contact with Roma.
"I don't really think a player like him, who has ambitions for the French national team, wants to play for a team where he will be on the bench."
The Lupi are also looking at Palermo veteran Alberto Fontana.
The 41-year-old is likely to leave in January and a move to the capital could take off if Roma miss out on Pele.
