A number of reports had suggested that the Giallorossi were interested in the German hit-man, deeming him the man to help them emerge from a poor run of form.

However, any potential move has been put on hold by agent Fahrian, who believes a deal in the winter transfer window is unlikely.

"Kuranyi to Roma? No, he will not be leaving in January," the agent told Laroma24.

"Kevin has a contract with Schalke until 2010 and a move in the winter transfer window is unimaginable.

"We will see what happens next year. All solutions are possible."

The Giallorossi's derby win over bitter rivals Lazio has seen plenty of confidence being regained.

I Lupi are expected to sign a striker and, with talk of Jeremy Menez heading out, Kuranyi could be an option despite the agent's resistance to a possible transfer.
