With Roma struggling for results in Serie A this season and the passing of former Roma President Franco Sensi in August, many people associated with the capital outfit have been understandably concerned with the club's future.
However on Tuesday, Roma President Rosella Sensi (daughter of Franco), released a statement to shareholders reassuring them that the Giallorossi are on solid ground and that they may even have their own stadium in the near future.
"AS Roma is a healthy society," the statement read, according to Datasport. "The budget is in surplus and we are looking towards the future. We aspire to have a stadium owned by us and are giving new motivation to an industrial plan. These days, we are working very closely with developers."
Over the last few years many pieces of news have flown about that Roma and Lazio would like to play in separate stadiums and no longer share the Stadio Olimpico and it looks as if this may be a reality in the near future.
Indeed, this weekend Roma and Lazio face off at the Stadio Olimpico in the derby della capitale.
