Although the negotiations between AC Milan and Los Angeles Galaxy to keep David Beckham with the Rossoneri seem to have stalled after the American club rejected Milan's initial offer, that doesn't mean this transfer saga is over.
Today The Sun reported some interesting background information on Beckham's move to Milan. According to the English tabloid, it was MLS commissioner Don Garber who encouraged Beckham's move to Milan. Last night, news channel ESPN allegedly said that the 'dramatic conclusion' to the Beckham transfer saga could be imminent.
As reported by The Sun, the 5.7 million dollar offer made by Milan is not nearly enough to satisfy LA Galaxy, who value the player at around 20 million dollars. Still, the player would be able to free himself of his ties with the American club by November, and seal a transfer to the Rossoneri worth around 10 million dollars.
"David Beckham could be confirmed as a full-time AC Milan player this weekend if the MLS can agree a fee of $10million-plus with the Italian giants", it said on the English tabloid.
Beckham has made an immediate impact in Serie A, quickly earning a starting place in Carlo Ancelotti's side and scoring two goals as well.
