Moggi Jnr: Kaka To City Like Zidane To Real Madrid

Alessandro Moggi has suggested that Kaka's potential transfer to Manchester City bears similarities to Zinedine Zidane's move from Juventus to Real Madrid due to the financial rewards.

Italian football agent Alessandro Moggi believes Kaka's possible move from Milan to Manchester City will be like Zinedine Zidane's switch from Juventus to Real Madrid in 2001.

The Frenchman joined Los Merengues from Juventus for a world-record €76 million fee. Back then, it was Luciano Moggi who laughed all the way to the bank as the Bianconeri made a €73m profit from the sale.

Kaka's potential switch could be worth as much as double of what Real paid Juve eight years ago. It is in this regard that Moggi has drawn comparisons between the two deals..

"I think he would be an important loss for Milan but, looking at the financial benefits, it's hard to refuse such an offer. All this reminds me of the Zidane deal," Moggi told Tuttomercatoweb.com.

"I have used the Zidane example as you have to consider the fans, but also the needs of the club.

"The club needs to be able to replace the loss from a technical point of view.

"Juventus sold Zidane but they brought in Pavel Nedved and Gianluigi Buffon.

"Juve won the league and Nedved won the Ballon d'Or."

Manchester City's interest has triggered panic at San Siro. Coach Carlo Ancelotti has already made his stance on the matter well clear. The former Juventus man wants Kaka to stay but his bosses may have other ideas.
