Fabio Cannavaro and David Beckham were teammates at Real Madrid during the 2006/07 La Liga campaign.
Now, in a controversial move, David Beckham has been signed on a loan-deal by AC Milan from Los Angeles Galaxy. Questions have been raised as to what kind of impact the 33-year-old will have on his new club on the football pitch, but Cannavaro is sure that his ex-team mate will perform for the Rossoneri.
"The arrival of Beckham at Milan is not just a matter of marketing," the Italian international assured, according to tuttomercatoweb.
"David is outstanding. He is can still do great things and I am sure in the three months he is at Milan he will show his true value."
The ex-Manchester United midfielder could make his debut against Roma when Serie A resumes in January. Beckham joined Milan in order to stay fit for the English national team set-up under Fabio Capello.
