It was not a decision he took by himself, but it is one which he does not regret.
"My choice was influenced by my family and agent," revealed the Brazilian player. "The first four months without playing allowed me to adapt myself in the squad.
"I took part in all the training sessions and travelled with the team. Afterwards it was a pleasure from the perosnal level, because I made my debut, I scored my first goals and I continued improving.
"Now we hope to go forward in the UEFA Cup and return to the Champions League. My objective is to win with this shirt as many trophies as possible in Italy and on the international scene."
Since his first game, back in January 2008, the 19-year-old forward has made 33 appearances for Milan, scoring 12 goals.
