Milan directors have long been admirers of Sergio Ramos, who in their eyes could become the heir to skipper Paolo Maldini, who is expected to retire at the end of the current season.
The rumour mill set off again last month, as it was alleged that the 22-year-old’s relationship with Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster had turned sour.
And Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports this morning that a sensational swap deal seems to be in the pipelines: the Rossoneri have sounded out the Spanish champions again, but Real have allegedly asked to get Alexandre Pato in exchange.
