He is currently the all-time top-scorer in UEFA competitions, surpassing greats such as Gerd Muller and Alfredo Di Stefano on his path to the top of the scoring charts.

The 35-year-old joined Milan in 2001 from rivals Juventus, and has since helped the Rossoneri win the Scudetto title and two Champions League trophies.

Inzaghi has scored 103 goals in over 220 appearances for Milan, and has recently mentioned three players that he considers good enough to be his successors.

Inzaghi said, “There are many promising youngsters who can become better than me in the future. I like Michele Paolucci of Catania, he is doing very well and is physically strong. I also like Robert Acquafresca of Cagliari, he is excellent in the air. Finally there is Alberto Paloschi who is a Milan player currently on loan at Parma; he is a great guy as well as a talented player.”
