Inter Milan goalkeeper Julio Cesar blames overconfidence for last night's draw against Cagliari at San Siro, in the 18th matchday of Serie A.

However, now Cesar now hopes that Juventus will follow suit and fail to grab the full points this afternoon.

"Pity that we have drawn," admitted the Brazilian player. "The team went on the pitch convinced of winning the three points, but we were not brilliant enough.

"However, we must say that this was the first game of the year following the winter break.

"We wanted to started the new year in another way. This means that today I will be hoping that Juve will not win."

Juventus could decrease the lead of the Nerazzurri down to four points if they manage to beat Siena at the Olimpico stadium of Turin later on this afternoon, and thus re-open the title race.
