It's been a tough start to the season, to say the least, for veteran striker Hernan Crespo. Coach Jose Mourinho has not quite found space for him, placing the 33-year-old behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Julio Cruz, Adriano, and Mario Balotelli in the pecking order.

The Argentine has been linked with a move away from the club already in January, Roma and Real Madrid reportedly showing interest. However, Madrid are probably out of the race for his signature now as they have already secured the services of Klaas Jan Huntelaar, who recently completed his move from Ajax.

Inter's sporting director Marco Branca talked to Radiomontecarlo about Crespo's future, responding to rumours of interest from Olympique Marseille, the latest club to be linked with the player.

"We haven't had any contact with Marseille, but if the player decides to leave we will respect his choice and evaluate all possibilities," he said.

"We are happy with him, he hasn't played much but each time he played he did well."

Crespo has yet to find the net this season, in which he has made just six appearances in Serie A.
