"We respect everyone, as I think that it will still be a very balanced league, but I hope that Inter can continue the path from 2008 and that in the end can finish first," explained the Inter captain.
"Apart from Juventus, Milan and Roma, there are also Fiorentina and Napoli who are doing very well. All of them are fighting for the same objective, but we hope to finish first."
Zanetti also praised new coach Jose Mourinho for the way he has been working since joining the Nerazzurri.
"The work done by the coach can be seen and I'm of the opinion that this squad can still give much more also in Europe apart from the league," concluded the Argentinean player.
The 35-year-old player has been at Inter since 1995, with almost 450 appearances and 12 goals under his name.
