Although Inter are already through to the next round in the Champions League, they still need a victory against Werder Bremen tomorrow to make sure they don't finish second in Group B and run the risk of meeting a top side immediately in the last 16.

Defender Nicolas Burdisso is especially adamant about avoiding Barcelona, who are scoring goals for fun at the moment in La Liga and the Champions League.

"Sooner or later we must meet everyone," said the Argentinean international. "But there is one team the whole of Europe wants to avoid, which is Barcelona. We are concentrated on Werder Bremen, because we want to win to make sure of finishing first in the group. I think we deserve it."

While the Nerazzurri are flying high at the top of the Serie A table, and are riding an impressive six match winning streak, but in the Champions League they have failed to impress. On Matchday Four they were held to a 3-3 draw away to Anorthosis Famagusta and lost 1-0 at home against Panathinaikos in their latest European match.

"We have to try and forget the bad match against Panathinaikos," Burdisso continued. "Tomorrow we can demonstrate the value of this great group."

Against Anorthosis, the defender had a performance to forget as he made a couple of blunders that led to the Cypriot side scoring.

"I want to show my value, especially after my performance in Cyprus. That's just the past, even though it has left inside me a strong desire to do well. I have always worked for the team and I've been lucky to win a lot. But I never look at the past: the past is the past."

On coach Jose Mourinho, he said: "I am convinced he has added more experience, which we didn't knew we had, and which will count in the decisive moments."
