Their hopes of upsetting Inter will revolve around their talented young line up, with Argentina forward Ezequiel Lavezzi and Marek Hamsik in particular, able to do the business against top opposition.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of his side's match against the Partenopei, Mourinho said, “I think we must forget about Panathinaikos now. I don't like to let this negative moment linger. The championship is the championship, and it is a completely different story. We did not deserve to qualify for the Champions League knockout rounds yet, and we did so by luck and because of an important win in Athens in the first game.”
Moving onto tomorrow's match, Mourinho said, “To me Napoli is a team that plays very well. When I analyze my opponents the most important thing is the group dynamic and how they organise themselves.
“They have a very good coach with clear ideas about how he wants his team to play. The players are used to his way of playing. It is obviously a very solid group in terms of defence, with good positional sense and a dynamic attack allowing for dangerous counter attacks. They are a fast team, with a great deal of creativity. They are a great team, and are difficult to face.”
