Inter are on the hunt for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Renato Augusto, according to Mediagol.it.

The Nerazzurri are keen to bring in some youth to the middle of the team to add to the multi-talented stars they already have in that position already.

Mediagol.it claim Inter have sent a team of observers to follow the Brazilian's progress as he continues to shine.

The 20-year-old has been outstanding for his side and he has helped push Leverkusen into second place at the top of the Bundesliga standings.

He arrived from Flamengo for just €5 million and he is being touted as a possible target for the January transfer window as coach Jose Mourinho continues with his attempts to move and shake in the market.

Reports suggest Augusto is earning €500,000 per season but Inter would be able to double or even tripple his wages if Mourinho gives any potential deal the nod and the wink.

A move for the youngster is expected in the New Year.
