Marc Overmars put an end to his playing days in 2004, after spending four years at Camp Nou, before opting for a surprise return last season to play one more year for Go Ahead Eagles.
The former Oranje winger, currently holidaying in Barcelona, visited the Catalan club's facilities today and shared some laudatory words about his former home.
"Barcelona are fantastic," he told Barca TV. "In Holland, a lot of people talk positive of Barca.
"They have many good players and internally the club are in a tranquil situation."
Overmars also compared the current Barcelona team with the one he was part of for four years.
"We had six coaches in four years and there was no stability. Now it is better," he noted.
