However this campaign, mainly due to the resurgence of Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi maintaining his fitness, Bojan has been warming the bench more often than not as Barcelona have stormed onto an incredible 17-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
However the 18-year-old is not overly concerned, simply because of the joy he feel playing with a club as prestigious as the Catalan giants. He also had the foresight to realise that things won't always be so smooth for Pep Guardiola and his squad.
He told Marca.com, "The footballers career is full of good moments and some that are not so good. Now I am in a bad moment because I am not playing games, but I am very happy to be at this club."
There were suggestions that Bojan was unhappy at the club last season, particularly with the atmosphere in the dressing room. The player himself denied the claims, but admits he has been helped by the return of old friend Gerrard Pique, who re-joined the club from Manchester United over the summer. He is confident however that as the as the season progresses he will break into coach Guardiola's plans.
He concluded, "My progress is on the right track. My minutes are less than last, but it is a very long season. Everyone wants to be involved. At 18-years old, I want to work hard and seize my opportunity.
