Real Madrid might have lost El Clásico on Saturday evening but if Rosyton Drenthe had had his shooting boots on the result could have been so different.
The Dutch international was presented with a glorious chance to give his side the lead in the first-half, when he was played through with just Victor Valdés to beat, but he couldn't tuck the ball away.
Nevertheless, the youngster still put in a decent display against the Catalan side, and talking to Sportweek today, he said that he feels more comfortable under new coach Juande Ramos.
"Ramos has given me confidence. With the new 4-4-2 system, I play on the left, more or less as I did with the Dutch Under-21 side. That is where the coach put me and I am comfortable in that position," he mused.
Drenthe has certainly been putting in some good performances lately, and even though they didn't win at the Camp Nou he said he was 'impressed' by the stadium before talking briefly about the club.
"In Holland everyone speaks about Barcelona and it was a great feeling to go and play there," he declared.
"During the European Championships there was talk of interest from Barcelona, but I knew that I wanted Real Madrid. It is a pity that we did not win the game."
