Larissa Riquelme celebrates Cerro Porteno title
The model left an emotional message to partner Jonny Fabbro via Twitter after the Argentine's goal confirmed a thrilling Apertura victory on the last day of the season
Supermodel Larissa Riquelme could not hide her joy at seeing Cerro Porteno lift the Paraguayan Apertura at the weekend, and congratulated boyfriend Jonathan Fabbro for his role in the Asuncion giants' triumph.Riquelme, who became known across the world for her enthusiastic following of the Paraguay national team during their 2010 World Cup campaign in South Africa, is a staunch supporter of the Ciclon, where partner Fabbro has plied his trade since moving from Guarani in 2011.
Fabbro and Santiago Salcedo were both on target as Cerro downed Olimpia 2-1 on the final day of the season. The result crowned the side, one point behind their rivals at the start of play, as champions of Paraguay, and Larissa used Twitter to express her delight at the result and the Argentine star's part in it.
"I love you, the goal was magical. You are the best, you make me cry from joy," the model gushed to her other half on her official account after the final whistle.
"I told you, that goal belongs to us."
Cerro, coached by Uruguayan Jorge Fossati, were four points behind Olimpia with two games of the Apertura remaining, but eliminated the deficit with two wins in a week while the Decano faltered.
