Cerro Porteno After Argentine Striker Balvorin
Paraguayan giants Cerro Porteno are currently in negotiations with Lanus for their Argentine striker Gustavo Balvorin...
Argentine striker Gustavo Alberto Balvorin, who plays for Lanus, has attracted the attention of Cerro Porteno, and according to reports, the president of the Paraguayan club, Luis Pettengill, is in negotiations with the club for the player.
Balvorin, 31, formerly of Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy and Velez Sarsfield, has been out of action for a large period due to different injuries, but he is still the main priority of Cerro Porteno's Argentine coach, Pedro Troglio.
Apparently Balvorin likes the idea of moving to Paraguay, after being advised to make the switch by his agent, Marcelo Kobistyj, who is close friends with Troglio.
Cerro Porteno are also after Ernesto Cristaldo, who played for Newell's Old Boys of Rosario next season. With Troglio at the head, the Paraguayans are hoping to build a competitive squad for next season.
