Uruguay lifted the 2011 Copa America in Buenos Aires on Sunday after a 3-0 victory over Paraguay, a result that an overwhelming number of Goal.com users expected.

Diego Forlan and Luis Suarez's side received an incredible 88 per cent of the vote during Goal.com's poll on who would collect the trophy ahead of the final.

Paraguay, who failed to win a game in normal time throughout the tournament, progressing courtesy of two penalty shoot-out wins in the knockout stages, only received 12 per cent of the vote.

And, as expected, Uruguay prevailed thanks to Suarez's opener and Forlan's brace, sparking scenes of celebration.
