The Dutch side secured their place in the next round with a 1-0 aggregate win over Anzhi Makhachkala and Steven Berghuis is hoping for a glamorous quarter-final draw
The Dutch side drew 0-0 at Anzhi Makhachkala on Thursday, securing their progress in the continental competition following their 1-0 win on home turf over the Russians last week.
Berghuis was thrilled that the Eredivisie side were able to hold on to their slender first-leg lead - despite being critical about missed opportunities - and he is crossing his fingers for a meeting with Antonio Conte's men, who knocked out Fiorentina.
"It's lovely that we are in the last eight," the 22-year-old told RTL7. "Especially when you see which teams are still in it.
"We had so many chances to score. I myself missed three chances, but this result is really great.
"Now I hope for a nice draw - a team like Juventus would be great."
AZ were the first team to qualify for the last eight of the second-tier European tournament and will find out who they will face in the next round on Friday.
