Chelsea have decided to leave Spanish midfielder Juan Mata on the bench for their Europa League semi-final first leg against Basel this evening.

Blues manager Rafael Benitez makes four changes to the side that drew with Liverpool at the weekend, with Frank Lampard and Victor Moses coming in for Mata and Oscar in midfield, while John Terry and Ashley Cole replace Jon Obi Mikel and Ryan Bertrand.

It appears as if David Luiz will line up in midfield alongside Lampard, with Ramires in a wide-right position for the visitors.

Basel field the same side that disposed of Tottenham in the quarter-finals as manager Murat Yakin looks to claim a second successive English scalp in the competition.
