Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart recorded a narrow 1-0 away win in the first leg of their Europa League playoff against Slovan Bratislava last week and the Schwaben can't afford to slip up in the return this Thursday.

Head coach Christian Gross has warned his men that Slovan are a good team that shouldn't be underestimated and added that he expects an intense game in the Mercedes-Benz Arena.

"We're preparing for an intensive and physical game, similar to how it was last Thursday. Our opponent will be doing everything in their power to beat us but we are prepared to match the Slovakians physically," said Gross on Stuttgart's official website.

"We are at home, we must play consequent attacking football whilst remaining solid at the back. We want to perform dominantly over the full 90 minutes. We will have to work intensively, keep our shape and communicate more on the pitch.

"Slovan have a number of interesting young players within their ranks. They are a team that can pose problems for any opponent."
