Cottagers have it all to do after torrid first half in Turin...

JUVENTUS

Alex Manninger - 6.5 - Beaten as Etuhu's effort was diverted past him off Legrottaglie. Fantastic save denied Hangeland the equaliser.

Jonathan Zebina - 7 - Danced past Davies and Etuhu before hitting an unstoppable strike for his goal.

Fabio Cannavaro - 7 - Assured as ever and came out on top in robust battle with Zamora. Experience in European competition proved priceless.

Nicola Legrottaglie - 7 - Well-taken header put his side ahead inside of 10 minutes.

Fabio Grosso - 6.5 - Fabulously struck volley was heading for the top corner before Schwarzer kept him at bay.

Claudio Marchisio - 6.5 - Attempted to spread play with cross-field passing. Only effected the game in spells.

Hasan Salihamidzic - 6 - Largely uninvolved, but may have slightly connected with Trezeguet's strike on route to goal. Replaced by Camoranesi.

Christian Poulsen - 6 - Broke up play with niggling fouls as he contested 50-50s before being replaced by Sissoko.

Antonio Candreva - 7 - Tidy footwork provided Zebina with opportunity to score. Played across the midfield and was lively throughout.

Diego - 7 - No flashes of brilliance from the Brazilian playmaker, but a very strong display as the Brazilian made a nuisance of himself in front of Fulham's back four. Nearly put the tie out of reach with a dipping strike in the closing stages.

David Trezeguet - 7.5 - Denied early headed goal by Schwarzer, but reacted quickly to score at the second time of asking for the third goal. Constantly looked likely to score.

Substitutes

Mauro Camoranesi - 6.5 - Replaced Salihamidzic after the interval. Chested down for Iaquinta to blast over.

Vincenzo Iaquinta - 6 - Came on in place of Trezeguet. Shot over when he should have done better.

Mohamed Sissoko - 6 - Occupied similar role to Poulsen with less than 15 minutes remaining.

FULHAM

Mark Schwarzer - 7 - Marvellous saves from Trezeguet, Grosso and Diego, but could do little about Legrottaglie goal shortly after. Helpless as Zebina strike cannoned in off his far post, and could only watch Trezeguet score the third.

Chris Baird - 5.5 - Perhaps could have tracked Legrottaglie as defender was allowed free header at goal for opener.

Aaron Hughes - 6 - Had his hands full with Trezeguet.

Brede Hangeland - 6.5 - Came close to equalising but was thwarted by Manninger's fingertip save.

Paul Konchesky
- 6.5 - Comfortable on his return from injury, adding extra dimension to Fulham's play.

Damien Duff - 6.5 - Saw plenty of the ball on the right wing, but lack of a right foot prevented him from troubling Juventus back four with crosses.

Jonathan Greening - 6 - Attempted to contain Candreva and was penalised late on as the midfielder conned the referee into distributing a booking.

Dickson Etuhu - 5.5 - Midfielder's goal took a heavy deflection but was Cottagers' first real shot of the game. Allowed Zebina to pass him with ease and should have cleared in the build-up to Trezeguet's goal on the stroke of half-time.

Simon Davies - 6 - Should have done better with fluffed effort that could have levelled the scores after 15 minutes.

Zoltan Gera - 6.5 - Industrious performance as the supporting striker. Fed off knock downs from Zamora but only once tested Manninger.

Bobby Zamora - 6.5 - Was held up by Cannavaro, but still forced saves from Manninger and connected well with Gera. A willing runner as ever and pulled wide for more freedom in the second half.

Substitutes

Clint Dempsey - 6 - A welcome return to action after long injury absence, but failed to make an impact. Scuppered late on by Legrottaglie.

All this focus on the Arsenal and Milan game should not take away from another cracker earlier tonight between Zenit and Benfica. The Russians came from a goal down to lead 2-1 in the closing minutes before Oscar Cardozo levelled things for Benfica, but it wasn't over there as Roman Shirokov won the game for Zenit in the 88th minute.

Here's the thoughts of Benfica coach Jorge Jesus, who felt his side deserved a point from the game.

Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny bemoaned his side's luck tonight but refused to give up. Here's some of his quotes:

"They were the better team on the night and that's the story of the day.

"We have to keep fighting, pick ourselves up, get the confidence back and challenge in the other competitions and in the second leg of this tie too.

"They punished us on every occasion; they scored some quality goals and they deserved to win."

Another Milan player who was willing to share his thoughts after the match was Mark van Bommel, who has urged caution ahead of the second leg in London.

“The score made it look like it was an easy game, but it certainly wasn't.

(Strange... it looked pretty easy from where I was sitting, but hey.)

“I do not think it's over yet. I remember a clash between Milan and Deportivo la Coruna when Milan was also ahead by four goals, and in the end Deportivo eliminated Milan.

“I went into the Arsenal dressing room after the match to speak to Robin van Persie. I had agreed with him to swap shirts – my sons are big fans of his and he brought two for them. They will be delighted.

Van Bommel went on to talk about a possible move to PSV in the future, but was quick to point out his terms for the move.

“I've spoken with PSV, but we don't have an agreement yet. The club has to decide what they want.

“If Louis van Gaal turns out to be the new coach, I won't go.”

Next up is the Milan maestro Clarence Seedorf. He only managed 12 minutes on the pitch, but watching from the sidelines he was delighted at how his team mates had dominated the game.

"Tonight everything went in the right direction and we did a very good match. You don't start a match thinking to win 4-0, but at the end i think we deserved it coz we played very well."
