Lazio Coach Davide Ballardini Focused On Serie A After Levski Sofia Defeat
The boss wants his players to focus on the domestic league, and to give it their all...
Lazio tactician Davide Ballardini insists that his players must now regroup and concentrate solely on doing well in Serie A, after their Europa League defeat to Levski Sofia.
The Aquile concluded their disastrous Group G campaign and will now focus on moving up the domestic league table.
"Now, we must throw ourselves in the league, and want to do well," Ballardini revealed after the match to Mediaset Premium. "Against Inter, we have different objectives, but we will go to Milan to do well.
"We needed to play a great match to obtain a positive result, and we are not in the right condition to do so."
The former Palermo boss also dismissed the Sebastian Giovinco rumours, that are linking the Atomic Ant to the Biancocelesti.
"I like him a lot, but I have not heard anyone speak to us about him.
We need to find a player in every department, when the market reopens."
Ballardini also rebuffed giving 'rebel' player Goran Pandev a run in the starting XI, to help improve his side's chances.
"I train Pandev every single day, but I don't want to return discussing the same arguments," Ballardini concluded.
