Club Brugge Coach Adrie Koster Rallies The Troops Ahead Of Toulouse Clash
The Belgians are desperate to pick up a result on Wednesday in order to qualify for the next round of the Europa League...
Belgian side Club Brugge take on Toulouse in their final Group J game needing a draw to progress to the Europa League round of 32 and head coach Adrie Koster has made it clear that his men should play for the full three points.
"We have to dare to take the initiative, play attacking football and go for goal; that is the most important thing. It is a match where we have to play to win. Playing for a draw is extremely difficult," said Koster at the pre-match press conference.
"I expect Toulouse to play a compact game as always and if the score remains 0-0 they will spring on to the attack to try to score. To be in Europe in the new year is what this is all about. This is a chance we have to grab with both hands.
Club Brugge have collected eight points from their initial five games and have a one-point lead over Toulouse. The first encounter between the two sides ended in a 2-2 draw.
