Group H Europa League Round-Up: Sheriff Eliminate Steaua, Fenerbahce Edge Twente To Qualify
Joy in Turkey, but despair in Romania...
In Group H of the Europa League, Fenerbahce finish up top with twelve points, still having one game remaining. Twente on seven and Sheriff on five battle to reach the next stage, while Steaua Bucharest, on three points, are eliminated.
Sheriff Tiraspol 1-1 Steaua Bucharest - Lineups/Stats
Steaua Bucharest's inconsistency cost them yet again as the famous Romanian side found themselves knocked out by Sheriff in Tiraspol.
In a game played at a low pace, Sheriff seemed as though they were on track for victory as they opened the scoring seven minutes from time after Amath Diedhiou met a long ball and scored with an effort that Robinson Zapata should have done better with.
But Steaua were to equalise through Juan Toja, the former FC Dallas man scoring an excellent volley to round off the evening.

FC Twente 0-1 Fenerbahce - Lineups/Stats
An exciting match in Enschede saw Twente lose out at home to a Fenerbahce side who now qualify for the next stage, while the Dutch must face Steaua in a make-or-break encounter to secure second place.
The Turks were somewhat superior over the course of the match, Daniel Guiza and Roberto Carlos looking particularly effective, but Twente's passing play was not without its fruit either.
Brian Ruiz was unlucky not to score after 60 minutes, but Fenerbahce's quality told when Alex won a corner that Diego Lugano converted with a confident header.
Twente are two points ahead of Sheriff as they travel to Bucharest for the final matchday, but have an inferior head-to-head record. Sheriff head for Istanbul to meet the Yellow Canaries.
