"I would have been satisfied with one point here because Vienna were the better team," he told the press. "It was a lucky victory in which we had a lot of chances but did not do much with them until just before the end.
"Usually you lose this kind of game. But with our luck right now, that isn't happening. We have to stop this lacklustre football. We cannot fall back to the old times. We have to play more wisely and not as open."
Werder Bremen have collected ten points from four games and sit atop their Europa League group. They have qualified for the next stage.
