We Play Some Of The Best Football In Europa League - Shakhtar Donetsk Defender Darijo Srna
The Croatian full back is full of confidence that his side will go a long way in the Europa League...
Shakhtar Donetsk beat Toulouse 2-0 on Thursday evening and recorded their fourth consecutive Europa League victory of the group stage. But Croatian defender Darijo Srna insists he isn't too surprised with his side's good performances and has claimed that Shakhtar play some of the best football in the tournament.
"Last year we won the tournament and we want to get the same result this year. We've got a good team and a good coach. From the very beginning we've been saying that we want to win every game we play," said Srna to uefa.com.
"We've got maximum points so far. We host Club Brugge next and we want to beat them. We want to finish top of the group.
"Toulouse had some chances in the first half. Then, at the start of the second half, we missed one chance but we took the second one and went on to control the game well.
"I believe in this team. We're one of the favourites. Last year we beat CSKA Moscow, Olympique de Marseille, Dynamo Kiev and Werder Bremen," he added.
And the reason for these successes?
"We've been together for five years with the same coach," said Srna.
"We play the same attacking football whether we are home or away. We have a lot of good players and we play some of the best football in Europe."
