Player Ratings: Slavia Prague 2-2 Valencia

Los Che squandered a two goal lead in the final ten minutes against a ten man Czech side. Goal.com rates the players on display in a terrific match in Prague...

Joaquin, Miku, Alcoyano, Valencia (MARCA)
SLAVIA PRAGUE

Denis Romanovs: 6 - Had more to do than his opposite number before being taken off at the half hour mark and replaced by Vaniak following an early bruising challenge with Nikola Zigic.

Matej Krajcik: 6
- Put himself about and showed he wasn't afraid of a tackle particularly when his side were mounting a late comeback.

Benjamin Vomacka: 6.5 -
Had his hands full dealing with Zigic but battled on and looked comfortable as the game went on.

David Hubacek: 6 - Patrolled the defensive line reasonably well alongside his partner Vomacka.

Ondrej Celuska: 5 -
Was tormented by Joaquin all evening and struggled to get to grips with the Spaniard's blend of skill and pace.

Peter Grajcjar: 8 - Scored the late equaliser and delivered the corner for Janda's goal which started the fightback. Took his time when his chance arrived and showed his ability to score a vital goal for Slavia. Got booked moments later and was then substituted. A busy night!

Petr Trapp: 6.5 - Showed some early promise with his strike in the ninth minute which flew just over the bar. He later picked up a booking for fouling Baraja.

Marek Suchy: 5.5 - Couldn't get a foothold in the game and was kept quiet throughout.

Adam Hlousek: 7.5 - Showed plenty of bite in the centre of the park and relished the battle with David Silva for whom he picked up a booking for clipping his heels.

Zdenek Senkerik: 7 - Looked lively from the get-go but had a rush of blood to the head and earned two bookings in the space of three minutes. Sent off just after half-time for a silly challenge on Marchena which left his side down to ten men.

Riste Naumov: 6.5 - Didn't have a great deal of support up front and was replaced with Janda for the second half.

Substitutes

Martin Vaniak: 6.5 - Was given his chance for an hour when he replaced the injured Romanovs. Could do little about Joaquin's penalty or the stunning second goal from Maduro.

Petr Janda: 7.5 - Excellent second half display by the young man marked by his fine goal which got his side back in the game.

Vladimir Smicer: N/A - A late cameo for the hero of Istanbul 2005.

VALENCIA

Miguel Angel Moya: 6 - In truth he had little to do until the final ten minutes. Dropped an easy ball badly in the first half and could have done better for both Slavia's goals, particularly the first one.

Bruno: 7 - Got forward in the first half and showed plenty of good touches in a decent display.

David Navarro: 6.5 -
Will be pointing the finger of blame at himself for not organising his back line better for the first Slavia goal. Was involved in some handbags stuff late on in the first half and was lucky not to be booked.

Marchena: 6 - The captain was in the thick of it throughout and was subjected to some rough stuff from Senkerik who get sent off for clipping him once too often.

Mathieu: 6.5 - A solid display and went off in the 70th minute after picking up a booking. Can't be held responsible for his side falling asleep at the back as he was off the field at the time.

Hedwiges Maduro: 7.5 - Lit up the evening with his stunning goal just after half-time. The Dutchman showed wonderful skill to blast the ball home and set his side up for the three points which they squandered late on.

Baraja: 7 - The veteran showed his customary grit and as always gave his best. Sent off late on for a second bookable offence for a blatant shoulder charge.

Joaquin: 8 -
Excellent throughout the game. Was a delight to watch as he was involved with the best of Valencia's play. Scored a penalty and delivered the corner for Hedwiges' stunner.

David Silva: 7 - Was definitely targeted by Slavia throughout the game and had to be substituted clutching his ankle after a late challenge by Hlousek.

Mata: 6 -
Was unable to make a real impression on the game. Not one of his better nights.

Nikola Zigic: 6.5 - Won't be a popular man in Prague tonight after colliding with their 'keeper early on. Didn't pull up any trees during his stint up front either.

Substitutes

Pablo Hernandez: 5.5 - Should have wrapped up the game when he was clear through on goal with 15 minutes remaining. Instead he spurned it wide and his side collapsed to concede two goals in the time it takes to say them.

Jordi Alba: 6.5 -
Replaced Mata and didn't get to grips with the match to any great extent.

Assier Del Horno: 6 -
On for the last 20 minutes and picked up a booking for his efforts.
