Tony Mowbray is prepared to start with Marc-Antoine Fortune in Celtic's Europa League clash against Hamburg on Thursday evening, despite the player only returning from injury less than a week ago.

Fortune made his first appearance for Celtic since he injured his knee against Arsenal in August, in a win against Kilmarnock on Saturday.

However, despite only playing 25 minutes of that game, Mowbray is confident that Fortune is ready for Celtic's all-important trip to Germany.

"'Marco' is fit and ready. He's been out for nine weeks and got 20 minutes or half an hour the other day.

"Am I tempted to play him? Yes.

"The more high-quality players on the pitch, the better it is but we have some strikers who will be bursting to score tomorrow night," he added.

"So we will wait and see what we decide."
