Werder Bremen Manager Klaus Allofs Disappointed After Draw Against Austria Wien
Werder feel aggrieved at their performance on Thursday night, when they allowed Austria Wien back into the fixture from an unlikely position...
"We didn't want to do too much and were not as disciplined as we were at the beginning of the game. And you pay for that. On offence, we had too many missed passes, and that increased the pressure on our own goal and then things happen," Allofs told the after match press conference.
"In the first half we did a lot of good things," head coach Thomas Schaaf added. "But we should have scored more goals. And then in the second half we were just too passive and didn't have the will to score the decisive third goal."
Werder top Group L with seven points from three games. Austria are third with two points.
