Shakhtar Donetsk Coach Mircea Lucescu Delighted With Toulouse Win
The Shakhtar boss has expressed his delight with Thursday's comfortable victory...
Shakhtar Donetsk were the last UEFA Cup winners and the Ukrainians are one of the favourites to win the inaugural edition of the Europa League as well after their brilliant start.
They won their first two games against Club Brugge and Partizan Belgrade without too much trouble and added another comfortable victory against Toulouse to that on Thursday evening, much to the delight of head coach Mircea Lucescu.
"It was a very beautiful match. I am very happy and completely satisfied with my players' performance. I want to emphasise again that Toulouse are a high-level team," said Lucescu to reporters.
"They have many internationals in their squad. It wasn't easy to achieve victory. I made three substitutions after the 60th minute, because I wanted to give a rest to Tomas Hübschman, Fernandinho and Willian.
"It's very tough for me to compliment any one individual. Every Shakhtar player did his best tonight."
