thumbnail Hello,

The defender suffered his knee injury in the final of the 2012 Afcon in Gabon, with the Chipolopolo going on to defeat Cote d'Ivoire

Golden Arrows have welcomed back their Zambian Africa Cup of Nations champion Joseph Musonda, who had been out injured for two months.

The reliable defender, who recently reached 100 appearances for Chipolopolo, limped off inside the first ten minutes of the Afcon final against Ivory Coast in Gabon.

But Musonda is over the knee injury now, and whether or not Arrows coach Muhsin Ertugral decides to throw him against Moroka Swallows on April 29, his availability comes at a crucial time for a team that has had many injuries.

"I am fit and ready for action and have no pain whatsoever," Musonda told Kickoff.com.

"I joined the team in training on Monday (23 April) and I’m feeling very fine," he said.

"It has not been an easy time because this was the longest time I had ever been out of action due to injury in my playing career.

“I thank God and the staff at Arrows for all the help during my recovery."

Ertugral will also welcome back Robyn Johannes, another key defender that had been out with injury.
