Zimbabwe keeper Tapuwa Kapini rates South Africa's Bladley Grobler highly

The former Platinum Stars team-mates know each other well from their time together at the club, and the keeper believes the Bafana player is one for the future
South Africa coach Pitso Mosimane's claim that Katlego Mphela is his best striker is being disputed, with Zimbabwe keeper Tapuwa Kapini maintaining that Bradley Grobler is a quality attacker.

Following Grobler's goal on debut for Bafana in a friendly loss away to Zimbabwe, the former Platinum Stars forward has received a thumbs-up from the goalkeeper whom he beat.

Zimbabwe's shot stopper on the night, Kapini, who played with Grobler at Dikwena, said, "That goal reminded me of the old days at Platinum Stars where Bradley and I used to compete at training.

"It was a good goal though; he placed it out of my reach at the far post. I'm just happy we ended up winning the match."

Asked if he felt Grobler could be the striker that South Africa is desperately searching for, Kapini said, "I believe he could contribute a lot for South Africa, he's a brilliant striker and he has age on his side as well.

"I think he deserves a chance to prove himself, whether he starts or comes off the bench, but he deserves to be an active member of the squad."
