Majoro started up-front in the tournament opener and worked hard, but two clear misses in four first-half minutes had the crowd on his back.
However, ‘VV’ was happy with the former AmaZulu striker, and at the post-match press conference he said, “Remember, we just finished the first part of pre-season, so it’s normal that he will miss chances. What’s important for me is that he was in the right positions on the field. The scoring will come.”
Tottenham assistant manager Kevin Bond was also impressed by Majoro. When asked by KickOff.com which Chiefs player had impressed him most, Bond replied, “The striker who was taken off midway through the second half [Majoro]. He was very threatening and very quick, especially on the counter–attack.”
