thumbnail Hello,

The Bafana midfielder says he has not heard from the Scottish giants

Matthew Pattison has denied being in contact with Glasgow Rangers, in the wake of speculation to the contrary.

The Scottish giants, who had Katlego Mphela on their radar after the World Cup last year, are apparently now keen on Killer's mate, Pattison. Interestingly, Pattison has been quoted by the British media saying he would welcome a move to Ibrox. However, the 24-year-old told KickOff.com he is staying put at Sundowns.

"It is all speculation. Nothing has been said between Rangers and Sundowns and I have never been approached as far as I'm concerned," he says.Nonetheless, Pattison admits it would be difficult to say no to Rangers if the club approaches him.

"It is not something you can ever say no to, because it is a club that plays (UEFA) Champions League football and no footballer can ever say no to that," he said.

"But I don't wanna comment more on it, because there is no truth to it. I wouldn't want to say I want to move there, because there is no truth to the speculation... I will rather keep quite. I still have one more year on my contract with Sundowns and as things stand I'm staying," Pattison insisted.

Meanwhile, Sundowns' challenge for the League title floundered on Wednesday after a 1-all draw with Amazulu and Pattison admits it is too little too late for ‘The Brazilians'.

"It will be tough now. It is not on our hands, no… it is unfortunate," he added.
