The South African equivalent of the FA Cup Final is sold out...Football fans who have not bought tickets for the Nedbank Cup Final between AmaZulu and Bidvest Wits have found themselves with no other alternative but to watch the game on TV on Saturday as 71,000 tickets for the match had been sold out by yesterday afternoon.
There were still 3,000 tickets left for the Cup Final in the morning, which will officially open the revamped Soccer City Stadium.
Usuthu and the Clever Boys have the honour of being the first clubs to play at this venue which is the flagship stadium for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
R6 million is the prize money on offer but the excitement and honour of playing at this venue has grabbed the attention of both sides’ players.
PSL communication manager Altaaf Kazi revealed to Kickoff.com that a number of entertainment activities had also been lined up for the Nedbank Cup Final.
