Sivasspor Coach Muhsin Ertugral Close To Signing South African Elrio Van Heerden From Blackburn Rovers
Bafana Bafana star Elrio van Heerden is expected to arrive in Turkey on Monday next week to start a new career with Sivasspor.
Former Kaizer Chiefs and Ajax Cape Town coach Muhsin Ertugral who holds the reins at Sivasspor has confirmed that negotiations between his club and English Premiership side Blackburn Rovers for Van Heerden’s services are now at an advanced stage and the player is expected to arrive in Turkey next week Monday.“Yes, we are very interested in Elrio and our negotiations for his services are now at an advanced stage. He is a great player, but I believe he has not been given the stage to realise his full potential. I intend to give him that opportunity at Sivasspor.
“Elrio is going to give us more strength on our wings with his pace and I will be glad to work with a South African player again."
Speaking to KickOff.com from Turkey, Ertugral added that his chances of signing Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha are very slim.
“It doesn’t look like it is going to happen, and I am already looking at another player with whom I worked in Tunisia,” said Ertugral.
