Calvin Marlin Extends Contract With Mamelodi Sundowns
Soon after announcing the signing of goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands from Platinum Stars, Mamelodi Sundowns have extended the contract of Calvin Marlin for a further two years.
Sundowns communications manager Alex Shakoane confirms that Marlin has committed himself to serve the club for another two years.
“We are playing midweek and weekends and there are a lot of injuries so we need to have a strong team with enough players. We are happy that Marlin has agreed to extend his stay with the club and with Wayne Sandilands joining the club, I think we have a strong squad to challenge for League honours,” he said, according to Kickoff.com.
Shakoane also dismisses rumours that striker Mabhuti Khenyeza might be heading back to Ajax Cape Town as a swap deal involving Franklin Cale moving in the opposite direction.
“We are not swapping any players and Mabhuti is at home at Sundowns,” he added.
