Henrico Botes was the star of the show, scoring two goals and
setting up another for Luis Renteria at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
Sibusiso Vilakazi pulled one back for the Students, who were completely outplayed by the hosts. Botes got the opener for Stars on the stroke of half-time, converting a cross from Dillon Sheppard.
That’s the way it stayed until 78 minutes, when the Namibian forward again found the back of the net, but Vilakazi’s goal two minutes later through the cat amongst a pigeons.
However, substitute Renteria’s goal three minutes after that secured the points – another win for Steve Komphela, who has seen the pressure on him lifted massively.
