Jomo Cosmos To Unleash Mfanafuthi Bhembe In The PSL
Jomo Cosmos are set to play Swazi striker Mfanafuthi ‘Taribo’ Bhembe when they take on Moroka Swallows in an Absa Premiership match at the Rand Stadium today...
Bhembe, who signed for Cosmos earlier in the season, has been
struggling to get his South African papers and a clearance from his
Swazi team Mbabane Swallows, who have been demanding a huge transfer fee
for the player.
Speaking to KickOff.com, Ezenkosi manager Andrew Rabutla expressed his excitement about the availability of 'Taribo', who has also played in the US college league, for their game against the Dube Birds.
“Everything has been sorted out and as I speak to you now, I am at the PSL offices registering him. He is a top striker and his presence is definitely going to give us a huge boost upfront. However, it depends on the coach whether he plays tomorrow.”
Ezenkosi remain rooted at the bottom of the log but Rabutla said they are still calm and not ready to press the panic button just yet.
“It’s true that things have not been going well for us, but we are still positive. It is encouraging to see the boys in high spirits at training and that it shows that they are also confident that things will change soon," added Rabutla.
“We still have a few injuries and suspensions but Jomo always has a plan and tomorrow I am sure he will select a good team.”
Rabutla also disclosed that he will be flying overseas next week to further his coaching career. He said he has applied for coaching courses in Holland and Germany.
“It looks like I may be going to Germany, as they were quick to respond. I am grateful for this opportunity that I have been given to me by Jomo Sono to further my knowledge in football overseas.
"As footballer, it is important to have such qualifications so that you have something to fall back on when you are no longer playing.”
