Benni McCarthy Back For South Africa To Face Japan & Jamaica

The 24-man Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming international friendlies was announced in Johannesburg today.

Benni McCarthy makes a return to the South African national squad, along with Under-20 stars Darren Keet, Daylon Claasen and Kermit Erasmus.

Steven Pienaar was not considered for selection as he continues to work his way back to full fitness following an injury sustained in a challenge with Aaron Mokoena.

The players will all assemble on Sunday in Johannesburg and go into camp ahead of the friendly against Japan on November 14 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth and Jamaica (November 17) at Vodacom Park in Bloemfontein.
