Friday is the day when Orlando Pirates midfielder Benson Mhlongo will know his fate, after suffering a knee injury last week...Mhlongo twisted his knee in Bucs’ 2-1 loss to AmaZulu on Wednesday and has under gone scans, however medics have yet to determine the future of the Bafana Bafana midfielder.
Team spokesman Mickey Modisane told KickOff.com that Mhlongo will go for check up again on Friday to determine the seriousness of the injury.
“His knee is still swollen and we cannot say much about what is really wrong. Friday will be the day to find out how he is feeling,” he said.
Modisane added that this means that the Alexandra-born midfielder will miss two games this week, against Maritzburg United and Bloemfontein Celtic.
“He will obviously miss these two games but then after Friday we will know the exact period of his absence from action.”
