South Africa striker Bernard Parker made his first start for Twente on Wednesday evening after securing his work-permit recently and getting over a knee injury.
Parker grabbed his opportunity with both hands as Twente hammered lower league opponents SC Joure 8-0 in a KNVB Cup second round match.
Parker scored the first goal in the seventh minute to open the floodgates, and got his second, Twente’s fourth, in the 42nd minute.
Twente’s next match is an Eredivisie clash at home against VVV Venlo.
