The medical news is good for Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Surprise Moriri...

Mamelodi Sundowns' South African international midfielder Surprise Moriri is confident of returning to action soon after undergoing a successful operation on his knee.

Moriri was forced to withdraw from the Bafana Bafana camp recently due to the knee injury he picked up before the PSL League ended a few weeks ago.

Speaking to KickOff.com the Sundowns midfielder says despite going for the operation, he is optimistic that the injury will heal soon and allow him to return to action before the new season starts in August.

“I am happy the operation was successful and that I will be able to start the new season without any worries of being troubled by the same injury.

“The doctors were not specific as to how long I will be out of action but they suggest it might be a month or two, depending on the healing process and recovery.”

“I am disappointed about missing the FIFA Confederations Cup but my dream to play in the 2010 World Cup remains alive as long as I stay injury free next season,” he adds.
